Abstract(in English) The number of channels in WDM systems is increasing to deal with rapid increase in transmission capacity.It is indispensable to realize high output power EDFA in the WOM systems.However, total output power enhancement in EDFA causes adverse nonlinear effects such as four-wave mixing(FWM), cross-phase modulation(XPM), etc.In EDF, Iow non-linearity was incompatible with amplification performances.In this work, we developed La co-doped EDF(ELDF)that had high Er concentraticon, and which attained high efficiency withut quenching.As a result, we achieved that ELDF had high efficiency and low non-linearity.High Er density is more effective for L-band amplifiers that require long length of EDF.Consequently, high efficiency, low non-linearity and low NF amplifiers for L-band can be realized.
