Abstract(in English) | We fabricated silica GIO fiber. We showed experimentally that the silica GIO fiber could transform circular fields into elliptical ones, and vice versa. A new configuration by using bulk lens system has been proposed for the efficient coupling between laser diodes with a highly elliptic field and single-mode fibers. Experiments showed that the coupling loss between the laser diode with a field profile aspect ratio of 5.9 and SMF was 1.0 dB. A configuration by using lensed fiber also was proposed. We showed numerically that coupling loss between the laser diode with a field profile aspect ratio of 3.5 and SMF was 0.1 dB. |
