Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Differential-Phase-to-Intensity Conversion(DPIC) using an injection-locked semiconductor laser provides new optical detections. In this report, we propose a novel DPSK decoder as an application of DPIC. It can extract the message from the optically DPSK-encoded signal without additional electrical demodulators or optical delay lines. We present the experiments for the DPSK decoder using DPIC and show the receiving characteristics with random data sequences at 9.95328 Gb/s(OC-192).
