Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Single channel and two channels 40Gbit/s transmission were carried out using conventional single mode fibers of an OPGW cable installed in a field. Pulsewidth of the optical signals was 6.5ps. An error free state was confirmed for the single channel 62km×6span transmission, while it was better than 10^<-9> for both the single and two channels transmission through the 62km×7spans. The reason for the unstable BER was investigated through experiments in a laboratory. It was clarified that the margin of parameters set at the field experiments was enough. Possible factors are influence of polarization alteration and transmission delay variation of the OPGW.
