Abstract(in English) | We propose a novel all-optical noise reduction technique by using optical time-gating. The noise reduction is achieved by utilizing the discrete spectrum nature of the time gating. The proposed concept is experimentally verified in 10-Gbit/s return-to-zero (RZ) signal direct-detection systems. |
