Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) NZ-DSF for WDM transmission have been used for long-haul networks as for example submarine networks. As increase in the worldwide communication demand, WDM transmission is beginning to apply to short-haul networks. And the high density structure, suitability for mid span access, etc.will be required. Ribbon slotted core structure is popular in japan. This structure is suitable for high density and mid span access, but it is difficult to achieve good transmission performance. In this report the performance of some kind of slotted-core cables with NZ-DSF is reported.
