Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Group delay ripple of dispersion compensation fiber gratings degrades its compensation property. Accurate evaluation method for group delay ripple is important for practical use. But, in case of the phase difference method, the measured group delay ripple depends on the modulation frequency of incident light. In this paper, we propose a novel evaluation method that can estimate group delay ripple independent of modulation frequency. We have confirmed good agreement between theory and experiment.
