Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report presents a distortion monitoring system based on optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) mounted on a test body. The system consists of ASE source, spectrum analyzer and data processing unit that evaluates distortions from the information given from FBG's. The fiber gratings are applied in the system with the 2-point fixing method and thus the indicated values given may be averaged within the distance between the points. This principle was confirmed experimentally. The data processing software based on geometrical algorithms for the calculations of the distortions was successfully demonstrated by using simulation data.
