Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In optical frequency-hopping code division multiple access (FH-CDMA), there is a problem that optical beat interference (OBI) decreases the capacity, as the number of code channels increases. We propose coherence multiplexed (CM) FH-CDMA optical network to reduce OBI in FH-CDMA. Since the CM method achieves multiplexing by using time delays exceeding the coherence time of the light souces, we show the ratio of crosstalk against signal as function of channel spacing, and we find the number of channel without crosstalks between CM channels. We show that for uniform traffic, CM/FH-CDMA obtains larger capacity than FH-CDMA, because the number of code channels in a single CM channel is reduced.
