Abstract(in English) | Development of photonic devices presents a possibility of super high-speed photonic TD switch. This paper describes photonic VTDS (Variable Mux/Demux PhotonicTD Switch) and its application to Wavelength Assignment Photonic Switching System (WAPS). It is concluded that VTDS can solve a WAPS problem of inefficiency in wavelength utilization. VTDS also contributes to simplifying the network control by providing multiplicity interface of VTDS to the customers and increasing the equivalent number of subnetworks. |
