Abstract(in English) | A fiber grating, which is an optical filter formed in the fiber core by intoroducing periodical refractive index change by UV exposure, attracts much attention as a novel optical fiber in the fields of optical communication and photonic sensing component. Especially in recent years, various types of fiber grating have become practical devices with a rapid progress of WDM optical communication system. In this paper, overview and recent progress of fiber grating technology are described. |
