| 抄録(和) | 第13回「光ファイバセンサ国際会議」(13th International Conference on Optical Fiber Sensors)が、1999年4月12日から16日に、韓国慶州市にて開催された。この国際会議は、光ファイバおよび導波光デバイスを活用したフォトニックセンシングに関する国際会議で、1983年ロンドンでの第1回の開催に続いて、18ヶ月に1回の頻度で、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、アジア・オセアニアを巡回開催されている。今回は、アジア・オセアニアでは4回目の開催となる。韓国光学会(Organizer)と電子情報通信学会エレクトロニクスソサイエティが共催団体となった。22カ国、282名の参加を得て、活発な発表・討論が展開された。また、初日には、"Workshop on Device and System Technology toward Future Optical Fiber Communication and Sensing"と 題するワークショップも企画・開催された。本稿では、その概要を報告する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Thirteenth International Conference on Optical Fiber Sensors (OFS-13) was held on April 12-16, 1999, in Kyongju, Korea, whose first meeting was held in United Kingdom in 1983. This conference has provided high quality technical programs related with sensing techniques and systems based on optical fiber and guided wave optics. OFS series have been held every 18 months in Europe, America or Asia/Oceania. OFS-13 is the fourth conference in Asia/Oceania region, that was cosponcored by Optical Society of Korea (Organizer) and Institute of Electronic, Information and Communication Engineers / Electronics Society, Japan. The 282 attendants from 22 geographical areas had interesting presentations and fruitful discussions. In the first day, the workshop entitled " Workshop on Device and System Technology toward Future Optical Fiber Communication and Sensing" was also held. This paper describes the outline of the conference. |
