Abstract(in English) It is very important to detect the strain in a concrete structure like a tunnel by prevention of disasters, measurement of deterioration and reliability. This paper shows a loading test for a concrete pipe in order to research effectivity of distributed strain measurement using an optical fiber sensor. We performed a loading test for a concrete pipe and attempted to detect the inside distributed strain by optical fiber sensor on the pipe. We confirmed that the concrete structure strain can be detected by an optical fiber sensor after a crack occurred on the concrete surface.
