| 抄録(和) | 光ファイバの用途拡大に伴いさまざまな特徴を有する光ケーブルが必要となっている. 本稿では抗張力体に新有機繊維PBOを用いた光ケーブルを提案する. 本光ケーブルの特徴は,軽量でありながら,負荷張力に対して優れた耐久性を有することである. 光ケーブルの設計にあたり, 内蔵させるPBOの量を決める必要があるが,紫外線暴露や温度ストレス等, 実際の光ケーブルに課される可能性のある現実的な複合負荷条件もとて実験的に評価し, 有効寿命を推定することにより決定する方法を提案している. また,具体的な製造方法を検討して試作も行なった. その結果, 従来の最軽量な単心光コードに比較して同じ単位長さ当りのケーブル重量で5倍以上の張力負荷に対する耐久性を有する光ケーブルが作成できる見通しが得られた. |
| 抄録(英) | This report presents an optical cable consisting of PBO, as tension member, which is excellent organic new material having remarkable strength against tensile stress and lightness in weight. For designing optical cables, it is necessaly to determine the amount of PBO satisfying specified requirements. For the purpose, various experimental results have been taken under practical conditions, such as UV-exposure and thermal stress loaded together with tensile force. In conclusion, the optical cable with PBO of five times stronger than the conventional lightest optical cables for same total cable mass per unit length is closely coming into practical use |
