Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Significant effect of chromatic dispersion on fiber nonlinear coefficient measurement accuracy in SPM method is presented. It is clarified that the dispersion limit of the measurement is found to be less than-2.0[ps/nm]for dispersion shifted fibers(DSFs), and-8.0[ps/nm]for large effective area fibers(LEFs).Also, as a results of the dispersion limits, it was found that nonlinear coefficient(n2/Aeff)and the nonlinear refractive index n2 for DSFs and LEFs at random porarization states were around 4.8x10^<:-10>l:[1/W]and 2.3x10^<:-20>l:[m^2/W], and 2.7x10^<:-10>l:[1/W]and 2.1x10^<:-20>l:[m^2/W], respectively.
