Abstract(in English) | Fiber-grating external cavity laser(FGL)module comprising semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA)with slantwise waveguide has been successfully fabricated. The front-facet of SOA with AR coating enables the FGL to stabilize both output power and the wavelength by reducing a residual reflectivity. Temperature dependence of the wave length is 0.02~0.03nm/℃, which is five times smaller than that of a DFB-LD. Data-Transmission over 240km at bit rate of 2.5Gb/s was demonstrated by using the directly modulated FGL module. |
