Abstract(in English) | We directly fabricated fiber Bragg gratings through an UV-transparent coating of a Tin-codoped germanosilicate fiber. We succeeded in producing fiber gratings with gratings length 24mm, a maximum reflectivity of more than 99% (FWHM:0.14nm) and with a side-lobes suppression of more than 25dB from the center wavelength by apodization. The fabricated fiber gratings were tested for their mechanical strength. The results showed that fiber gratings had an average breaking stress of 4.9GPa and a n value of 20. |
