Abstract(in English) | In optical fiber sensing technologies, it is important to utilize coherence characteristics of a light source. In this paper, Interferometer Fiber Optic Gyros are reviewed at first, whose sensitivity has been improved by a low coherent source. I-FOG has already been used in practical applications. Recent researchers on next generation fiber optic gyro with a high coherent source or a fiber Brillouin laser are also discussed. Distributed and Multiplexed sensing ways with the fiber sensor technologies are promising as the key technology for smart structures and smart materials. We have proposed sythesis of the optical coherence function as a technology for the distributed sensing systems. In this paper, applications of this technique are also discused. |
