Abstract(in English) | Purpose of this paper is to clarify the reason for the low yawing frequency of large sized vehicle system. Firstly the lateral fluctuation running under fixed steering wheel is shown. Secondly the yaw response test result by random steering input based upon ISO/TR8726 are shown. Thirdly a 7DOF vehicle model considering the lateral and rotational motion of sprung mass, front/rear un-sprung mass and rotational motion of steering system is introduced. The main factor of the low yawing frequency is the low rigidity of steering with power steering system, and the frequency becomes the lower with the increase of vehicle speed influenced by the tire characteristics. |
