Abstract(in English) We are developing systems for collision avoidance which implement image recognition techniques and specially designed LSI. Previously, such systems required enormous amounts of hardware. Therefore, up to now, it was considered impossible to realize such real time recognition systems in a package small enough for a vehicle. We will demonstrate some systems that are implemented using recent advances in fast processing algorithms, hardware and custom designed LSI.
