A practical example of safety verification for the reconstruction of the train control system

Abstract(in English) This study verify the safety of the design which shared the common part of internal element by intended high dependability for Automatic Train Control system separately controlled using several element. The verification was done by the standard of IEC61508, we have confirmed the rightness of the measures as well as the extraction of threat factors, such as the receiving signal from the adjoining track circuit and the leaky signal to the adjoining part. As a result, it was shown that the circuit part, positioned in integrity level 4, and the function was useful level to threat factors by decreasing the risk.
