Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This year Japanese Government has adopted mammography for the screening of breast cancer. To detect early the cancer, this method is excellent as compared with another method such as MRI and ultrasound. We have apprehension concerning exposure dose of X-ray to healthy women. Although the estimation of the exposure in the screening is done based on the Europe and American standard, it is important to make a new standard for Japanese women. In order to the estimate the exposure dose to the individual woman, we attempt to make a new system by combining the calculation method bated on the phantom and image analysis of the actual X-ray film taken at the hospital.
