Abstract(in English) | In this paper, risk assessment for assuring safety of machinery (including control system) is described. Concept of tolerable risk and method of risk evaluation are shown. In the risk assessment, concept of "tolerable risk" requires clear explanation, because risk assessment is highly regarded in international standards. To reduce risk of machinery to the tolerable risk, designers do not present potential lack of safety measures in control system and users provide minimum safety measures, or users must provide safety measures corresponding to lack of safety measure accomplished by designers. The latter measures include, however, such "risk" that the tolerable risk can not be accomplished in case of malfunction of the safety measures taken by users. |
