Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The rejected takeoff (RTO) problem is one of tough issues in aviation. We give an experimental study for the efficiency of decision support system and Situation Adaptive Autonomy (SAA) which trades control between human and automation flexibly and dynamically depending on a situation encountered to attain takeoff safety. We found our decision support interface which is implemented in this paper is useful than a conventional interface. We also found that SAA is indispensable for attaining takeoff safety under time-critical situations in which human may not be given sufficient time to recognize, judge, and react to the situations.
