Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are a pressing problem on the Internet as demonstrated by recent attacks on major e-commerce servers and ISPs. In this paper, we propose a DDoS defense mechanism called Moving Firewall, which is powered by Active Networking technologies. We then evaluates the effectiveness of Moving Firewall under a series of simulated DDoS attacks using a network simulator.
