Abstract(in English) We have developed a large-scale multi-protocol processing STP(MSTP). It can perform high-speed and multi-protocol processing by supporting a load distributed architecture in which multiple processors are combined with an ATM switch. In this paper, we report the study on i)a flow control method suitable for highly multiplexed MTP signaling links, ii)an efficient method suitable for a multi-processor architecture for PCR shaping in ATM signalling links, and iii)a method for making use of ATM switches in higher utilization and reliability. Then we propose flow control methods for longer signal lengths and larger traffic volumes for further study.
