A Study of Real-Time Media Transmission with Multicast

Abstract(in English) We evaluate performance of retransmission-based reliable multicast protocol(i.e. SRN, PGM)on the transmission delay in the view of bandwidth and the nnmber of receiving terminals. We also compare open-loop-based multicast protocol (i.e. FEC-based)with retransmission-based multicast, and discuss feasibility to real-time media transmission.
