| Abstract(in English) | In recent year, asymmetric networks such as ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), cable modem, and satellite internet have become a great attraction. However, evaluation of web data transfer time using HTTP over asymmetric networks composed of satellite and terrestrial links has not ben enough investigated. Therefore, this paper evaluates transfer time of web data by HTTP on asymmetric networks composed of satellite and terrestrial links. Firstly, we propose new formulas for both HTTP1.0 and HTTP1.1 performance evaluation of web data transfer time over the asymmetric networks. Secondly, we compare the values that are calculated by the proposed formulas with both the values based on the existing formula and these based on experimental results. The results show that the proposed fomulas are more precise than the existing formula. Furthermore, this paper proposes an evaluation formula for HTTP1.1 with pipeline, and shows that the values calculated by the proposed formula agrees with those obtained by simulation experiments. |
