An Experimental Study of QoS Policy-based Networking Depending on User ID Information

Abstract(in English) In the interconnection and inter-operating between networks working for different purposes, it is important to manage the networks based on a policy, that is, how to utilize the networks mutually. In this paper, it is studied how to realize the policy-based network offering a QoS(Quality-of-Service)which depends on the user group. The network is realized by using the dynamic VLAN(Virtual LAN)technology which changes depending on user ID, and the ID is administered by Windows'Active Directory. It is verified whether the desired accuracy of a transmission bandwidth assigned by the QoS policy is performed. Furthermore, it is studied by evaluating the accuracy of the assigned bandwidth by the case where the considering traffic uses TCP or UDP.
