Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The ATM-PON(ATM-based Passive Optical Network) technology is one of the solutions to realize fast and cost effective communication. The DBA(Dynamic Bandwidth Assignment) is the method to assign bandwidth dynamically according to each subscriber's traffic condition, and its media access control technology has been discussed by FSAN(Full Service Access Network) initiative. Two kinds of DBA on the ATM-PON system have been discussed. One is NSR(Non Status Report) method, and another is SR(Status Report) method. In this paper, we report the results and comparison between NSR-DBA and SR-DBA based on simulations.
