| Abstract(in English) | IP networks and routers have the routing function and the packet forwarding function. We study the control interface between the forwarding and the routing engines for a label switch router. The routing engine(RE) generates packet-forwarding information such as routing tables and label tables. The forwarding engine(FE) forwards packets according to packet-forwarding information. This architecture enables to develop a new function quickly to support a new service. To prevent a packet form forwarding to a wrong route or losing caused by no route, The control interface between the FE and the RE has error free transfer function of forwarding information and packet-forwarding information synchronization function between the FE and the RE in case of faults. |
