Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When a carrier provides a multimedia-communication service over IP network, it is important to satisfy requirements of QoS, anonymity, traffic measurement, and connection via NAT. In this paper, using H.323 as an example, we clarify several requirements and propose a new network architecture that consists of H.323 proxy servers and call control servers to satisfy the requirements. We show the network scalabilities by comparing H.323 proxy to a VoIP-GW processing volume, and by evaluating performance of a call control server.
