Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Broadcasting stream data such as live video contents through networks is now coming to a point to where it may be used for a practical service while broadband network services are prevailing among the Internet. On the other hand, the technology to handle large amount of data traffic, which these services invent, is requested strongly to the core network. There are some subjects to be solved in order to achieve live delivery service of streaming data using IP Multicasting, such as accounting, network security, and availability. We have suggested a method to change the multicast delivery route corresponding to the breakdown or congestion at routers. In this article, we have figured out the required range of time in which the route changing process should be done, and evaluated the amount of data traffic that the controlling messages cause when the route changing process takes place. From thesepoints of view, we clarified the domination and the feasibility of the method we have proposed.
