Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The network architecture to support quality of service for each content service provider and each content have been developed, using virtual networks and transmission-quality control based on the label switching and the DiffServ techniques. The architecture also has new functions of the distribution of contents to the appropriate virtual network and quality class by content discrimination, and the request admission control as well as existing global load balancing techniques. The combination of these techniques can guarantee the required quality for each content and reduce the bandwidth of the network at the same time. Our estimation showed that the bandwidth was reduced by about 50% when the rate of contents belonging to higher quality class was 10% on the assumption that there were two types of quality class.
