| 抄録(和) | インターネットが広まるにつれ,EC,電子政府などの品質を重視するサービスもインターネット上で行なわれるようになってきた.そのようなサービスではシステムの性能低下を正確に把握する必要があるため,エンド・エンドのサービス品質を定常的に測定・監視する場合が多くなってきている.性能劣化が検出されると,次にシステムの改善点(ボトルネック)を明らかにする必要がある.旧来ネットワーク性能管理に用いられてきたりソース使用率に加え,エンド・エンドのサービス品質の測定を定常的に行なっている場合,これらの測定結果を有効に用いたボトルネック特定法が望まれる.しかしこれまでの手法は,サービス品質測定結果を有効に用いていない,またはさらに追加測定が必要などの問題点があった.そこで,本稿ではリソース使用率の測定とエンド・エンドでのサービス品質の定常測定を行うシステムにおいて,これらの測定結果の相関関係を分析することによりボトルネックを特定する手法を提案し,その有効性を示した. |
| 抄録(英) | Many mission-critical services (i.e., electric commerce) are already provided on the Internet. In order to detect the degradation of the quality of service (QoS), It is important to evaluate the end-to-end QoS. For mission-critical services, end-to-end QoS is not only estimated with the resource utilization, but also directly measured using a pseudo user. Once the degradation is detected, the manager must detect the bottleneck to improve the system. So far, the bottleneck is detected using only resource utilization or using many additional measurement. When service quality and resource utilization are measured, a better method of bottleneck detection using these measurements is desired. In this paper, we proposed a new method of bottleneck detection by analyzing the correlation of these measurements and showed the validity of our method. |
