Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been proposed a multilevel hierarchical distributed IP mobility management method, that aims to efficient distributed utilization of network resources in a wide area network. The proposed method focuses on the speed of MTs estimated from the dwell time in the previous access area and the predefined constant distance associated with the access area, and manages MTs according to their different mobility scenarios. The current scheme however, has problems that the speed of MTs is misestimated when there is much difference from the actual moving distance and the constant distance described above, and that MTs do not change their MAP until they change their AR. This paper considers a technique for more precise estimation of mobility of MTs.
