Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we discuss a cascaded connection of an adaptive array antenna, in which each antenna contains a feedforward filter, and the Viterbi equalizer. When using the feedforward filter, MMSE tap coefficients degrade the system performance because noise correlation in an array output becomes high. computer simulations show that proposed methods have better BER performance under a large delay spread condition and when the feedforward filters have few taps. In addition, we propose a method applying a multi-input Viterbi algorithm with a multi-beam adaptive array antenna. As a result, the proposed method improves BER performance significantly.
