Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new homodyne receiver architecture is proposed. The proposed receiver possesses dual local mixers (i. e., three-input-multipliers) for directly converting the RF signal to the baseband. When the dual local mixer is used as a doubly-polarity-switching mixer, the noise figure (NF) is sacrificed by 3.92dB compared with that of a conventional polarity-switching mixer. The damage can be easily recovered by increasing the power gain of the RF amplifier in the receiver.
