A Proposal of Traffic Control Method in Cooperation with Mobile Multimedia Transcoding Gateway

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a packettraffic control system for video streaming service in a best-effort high-speed mobile packet network. Proposed system is characterized by collaboration with a mobile node detecting network congestion and a mobile multimedia gateway which transcods source video data. In this proposed system, the traffic volume is adaptively controlled on the application layer to avoid congestions by dynamic change in a wireless link bandwidth. Also we report evaluation results of the proposed system in a LAN environment.
