A Proposal and Evaluation of a New Hiybid-ARQ Method for Motion Picture in Mobile Radio Environment

Abstract(in English) With the diversification of the mobile communication service, the need for not only voice but also data and image transmission is growing. New hybrid ARQ scheme is poposed with which moving image under the mobile communication environment is to be transmitted in the low delay and high quality. It is a system for utilizing error detection and eoor correction capability of the CRC. The image coding using H263 and PHS of 64kbps are assumed for transmission. The computer simulation was carried out, and the perfomances were evaluated under various conditions in respect of transmission characteristics and quality, and it was clarified that this proposal was effective.
