Abstract(in English) It is promising for mobile users to realize contents delivery service by using location information and terminal profiles. We considered a multicast delivery for mobile terminals. First, we investigate the features of mobile environments to make clear the service requirements of mobile multicast services. Second, a mobile multicast architecture is proposed based on the WAP Push architecture. Third, we propose following three necessary functions that are (1) advertisement of multicast service menus, (2) instruction of join and leave to the multicast group and (3) updating clients lists to realize mobile multicast services. Finally, we introduce a mobile multicast test-bed system that has been developed using the above-mentioned mobile multicast architecture and three functions. The results show us the feasibility of our proposed methods.
