Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We analysed the status and needs of intra-operational pathological diagnosis using statistical data of Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry and Pathological Society of Japan. And then we designed and implemented a new remote microscope system by which pathologists can observe remote samples with controling a remote microscope under real-time motion picture condition. The real-time picture transmission protocol we used are the DVTS and the D1 over IP. Through several experiments, we conformed our system could be a killer application to the conventional telepathology systems.
