Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, an idea of image processing system for the sensory substitution technology for visually impaired people is described. Several functions are selected, and the algorithm for each function is studied, and the idea of how to implement is studied. The system consists of the front end process and the back end process, and some hardware like DSP is supposed to be used for the former, a personal computer for the latter. Basic DSP circuit is studied and some evaluation of algorithm is attached.
