Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The significant performance of Support Vector Machines (SVM) proposed by Vapnik has been demonstrated by applying to various kinds of real problems. Especially SVM shows high generalization performance even in the case of small sample number in much higher dimensionality of the feature space, in which conventional machine leaning techniques do not work well. In this paper I will introduce new applications of pattern recognition techiques, such as natural language processing and bioinformatics.
