Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For visually impaired people, it has become possible to acquire useful information from the Internet by having screen-readers and audio browsers. However, for a web page including many visual expressions, it is difficult to have good understanding by only transforming text into sound. In this paper, we will discuss about the way of improving of the accessibility to WWW based on past researches, the guideline of WAI, etc and propose some new notions which take interactiveness into consideration. Then, the evaluation experiment was performed for the visually impaired people about"information retrieval using synonym"which is one of the proposal functions. From the experimental results, good evaluation was obtained from the subjects, although there was still an improving point mostly.
