| 抄録(和) | 現在の画面読み上げソフトウェアは, 算数レベルの式を除いて, 数式の読み上げには対処出来ない。私たちは, 視覚障害学生が理数系情報にアクセスする一つの新たな手段として, 大学レベルの専門文書にも対処しうる読み上げシステムを開発した。このシステムは, 現在最も普及したWindows用日本語画面読み上げソフトウェアの1つである"95Reader"を利用したもので, 音声出力用マクロとして構成されており, LaTeXで書かれた文書を構文解析して, 数式の内容が正確に理解出来るように日本語で読み上げる。数式の構成要素への音声による自由なアクセスや, ユーザー辞書による新しい記号の追加・読みの変更も可能となっている。 |
| 抄録(英) | Current screen readers can not deal with mathematical expressions except for arithmetic ones. We develop an aloud-reading system that can treat technical materials for undergraduates, as a new tool to allow visually disabled students to access scientific information. This system utilizes"95Reader", which is one of the most popular Japanese screen reader for Windows. It is constructed as a macro for sound output, analyzes structures of LaTeX files and reads mathematical expressions aloud so that their content can be understood precisely. Freehand accesses by sound to elements of mathematical expressions and a user dictionary for adding new symbols or changing sound definitions are also available. |
