| Abstract(in English) | The wide spread of internet technology such as e-mail and web retrieval has brought the Digital Divide problems, especially for elderly persons. The use of speech interface increases a chance for elderly persons to use e-mail and web retrieval. The research and development results in the speech recognition area in this NEDO senior support project are summarized as follows : (1)Elderly acoustic models, (2)Speaker adaptation algorithm, (3)Noise environment adaptation algorithm, (4)Language models for senior persons, and(5)Spoken utterance recognition experiment for elderly persons. |
