Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing" Accessibility Transcoding System" for senior people and low vision people that changes font sizes, line heights, and foreground/background colors of web pages according to the user's profile on his/her visual ability. Enlarging font sizes and line heights allows users to read each character easier. But it causes different troubles ; a user needs to perform more scroll operations to browse a wholp page, and the user needs more short-term memory and attention because of reduced information in the browser. In order to solve these problems, we have developed a technique to digest web pages based on annotations and have incorporated in into the Accessibility Transcoding System. In this paper, we describe the mechanism for digesting web pages, so that they become more comprehensive especially for elderly people.
