Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing the Robotic Travel Aid, the main function of which is to guide the visually impaired in the indoors or outdoors. According to the research of psychology, the visually impaired feel fear and stress when they walk alone a path for the first time. Therefore, it is necessary for the visually impaired to leam the route information in advance. In this paper, a route information understanding support system is proposed, which can support the visually impaired to leam the route information by using voice and push buttons. From the experiment, it is clear that the proposed system is useful for the visually impaired.
