Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed personal computer input devices (keyboard emulator) intended for the peoples with physical disabilities who can't use a standard keyboard (e.g. progressive muscular dystrophies with limited mobility of fingers and cerebral palsies incapable of sophisticated movements and, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, etc.). As these keyboard emulator are connected by USB to personal computer, so operator can use PC without standard keyboard and it is easy to connect without shut down the system. We have developed direct input type (light spot operated keyboard which use a laser pointer for spinal cord injured patients and eye gaze input system for the people with severe physical disabilities like ALS patients), and coding input type (Morse keyboard emulator for muscular dystrophies patients and CP patients).
